Morning at the Grand Canyon Lodge
Most people who visit the Grand Canyon come to the south rim because it is easy to get to from the Interstate. Only ten percent visit the north rim. However awe inspiring the view from the south, the north rim has it beat. It is a thousand feet higher and that completely changes the environment. Where the south is filled with desert vegetation, the north has towering lodgepole pines and dense forests. And with fewer tourists, it still feels remote and wild.
