Grand Canyon Prelude
The early morning light skips across the top of the Canyon's formations, while fog hovers in the valleys. A photographer's most dynamic subject, the Grand Canyon is never the same. It is so vast that it can have thunder storms surrounded by sunlit clarity all in the same frame. This photograph was taken from the remote North rim. The Canyon is ten miles wide here. The mountains on the horizon are the San Francicco range near Flagstaff Arizona, fifty miles away. A good testament to the clear unspoiled air.
