The Vermillion Lakes reflect Mt. Rundle, near the town of Banff in the Canadian Rockies. Here at dawn, the sun's first rays give a subtle glow to the sky and water. I often scout locations in the late morning and afternoon, later to return as the sun sets or rises for the most dramatic light.
