This picture is one of the many views experienced when photographing Antelope Canyon outside Page, Arizona on the "Navaho Nation". Carved by flood waters over the centuries, it twists and turns its way through the soft sandstone leaving behind these beautifully carved caves.

At some locations, the water has broken through the top to the flat butte above. The sunlight flooding down the vent illuminates the layers of rock in magical ways. This shot was taken with the camera pointed up into one such vent.
